Production Operator
Functieomschrijving
Intersection Department (IS) = Glass Forming Department
In our IS department (glass forming department, hot end), the molten glass arrives from the glass furnace, where it is cut into gobs and fed via the feeder to the production line. The glass gob then falls into the mould, where it is blown and provided with a hot-end coating.
In this department, you play a key role in controlling, monitoring, and adjusting the process, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. You ensure a smoothly running production process by, among other things:
- Operating and monitoring the gob control system, lehr, and transport systems
- Adjusting process parameters and monitoring temperature values
- Preparing the required equipment prior to changeovers and replacing refractory components
- Cleaning and maintaining installations and the working environment
- Detecting and correctly reporting technical malfunctions and deviations
- Safeguarding quality by carrying out inspections (weight, heat, and temperature measurements) and maintaining records such as process data, mould numbers, and production settings
- Providing a proper shift handover to the incoming team at the end of your shift
- If you want, I can also adapt this translation to sound more technical, more HR-oriented (job description), or more concise.
Profiel
Intersection Department (IS) = Glass Forming Department
