Are you passionate about mechanics and welding? Join our client’s team in the bustling port of Ghent! Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanic – Welder to ensure the seamless operation of their production machinery. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the mechanical components and conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance on their machine park.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of mechanical components in production machinery.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the machine park.
  • Execute tasks based on instructions from the maintenance manager, information provided by operators/users, and technical machine dossiers.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly workplace and ensure safety during maintenance activities.

Profiel

Profile Description:

Our client is looking for a candidate with a technical background or relevant experience in a technical environment. The ideal Mechanic – Welder will possess:

  • Technical education or relevant experience.
  • Welding skills (semi-automatic and electrode).
  • Passion for both coarse and fine mechanics.
  • Ability to work in construction site conditions without hesitation.
  • Attention to detail, order, and cleanliness.
  • Punctuality and awareness of safety and environmental concerns.
