Our customer is one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers and a leading global corporation. Based in Brussels, Belgium, and staffed by 2.700 people and more than 60 nationalities.

For their European Distribution Centre in Diest which is responsible for the procurement, storage and logistics supply of spare parts, accessories and technical campaign parts supporting the both the new car sales and existing customer vehicles service and warranty needs. They are urgently looking for a new colleague at the Supply Chain Inventory & Procurement Specialist department.

 

 

Procurement & Inventory Management:

  • Manage procurement activities for parts and accessories sourced from local suppliers. 
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels and service performance.
  • Take corrective actions to ensure customer service targets and key performance indicators are achieved. 
  • Follow up on allocation service rates and resolve customer backorders.
  • Ensure the availability of parts for current and future vehicle models across European markets. 

Supplier Performance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive supplier performance improvements through action plans and performance reviews. 
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Analyze operational issues caused by suppliers and identify root causes. 
  • Visit suppliers to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop, review, and improve processes and operational standards.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management:

  • Handle customer complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure excellent service performance. 
  • Contribute to a customer-focused supply chain that supports both dealerships and end customers.

 

 

Profil

 

Your Profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
  • Logistics
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement
  • Economics
  • Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong interest in supply chain management and the automotive industry.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail. 
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Strong numerical and reporting skills. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Experience with Access databases and Power BI is considered a strong asset.

Languages:

  • Fluent English is required.
  • Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driving license required.
