Cost Engineering Specialist – Lummen Region
For a fast-growing international manufacturing company in the Lummen region, we are looking for a Cost Engineering Specialist.
Your responsibilities
- Prepare product cost calculations and sales pricing based on customer requirements, commercial agreements, and market conditions.
- Maintain and update costing models and pricing data to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve margins, and support pricing strategies with data-driven analyses.
- Collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams on customer negotiations, supplier pricing, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency, accuracy, and process performance.
- Support planning, resource coordination, and the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Contribute to quality management activities, audits, customer claim investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
This role combines cost analysis, pricing strategy, profitability improvement, supplier cost management, continuous improvement, and quality support to drive sustainable business performance.
Profil
Your Profile:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Economics
- Finance
- Engineering
- Or a related discipline.
Experience
- Experience in a similar costing, pricing, finance, engineering, or analytical role.
- Experience within an international or multinational environment is a strong asset.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and product lifecycle costing.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
- Good understanding of:

- Product design processes
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly:
