Our customer, who designs, engineers, and manufactures cost‑saving temperature‑control solutions for transport, is looking for a Shipping & Inventory (Lead) Manager. You will be based in the offices in Tienen, but you will be working form offices in  Brucargo one or twice per month.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all outbound shipping operations and inventory control activities to ensure accurate order fulfillment, inventory integrity, and on‑time delivery. You will manage the shipping and inventory teams, maintain disciplined inventory practices, and use MRP/ERP systems to support efficient order processing, material staging, and data accuracy.

This position works cross‑functionally with purchasing, customer service, sales, and finance to ensure that shipping execution and inventory management align with customer demand and company objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Shipping & Logistics Operations: Manage daily shipping activities; oversee freight documentation, compliance, and shipping regulations (domestic and/or international).

• Inventory Management & Control: Monitor inventory levels; oversee finished goods and shipping‑related inventory.

• MRP/ERP & Systems Management: Use MRP system outputs; ensure real‑time inventory accuracy and shipment confirmations within the ERP/MRP system.

• Leadership, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Lead, train, and supervise shipping and inventory staff to ensure efficiency, safety, and accountability; prepare reports and performance updates for leadership.

Profil

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics (or equivalent experience of 3 to 5 years)
  • Speak fluent Dutch & English 
  • Experience with lean logistics, or 5S principles
  • You are analytical, a problem solver, and strong in planning and organizing. Also communicative, accurate in design, assembly, and inspections
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office,  ERP/MRP systems, Power BI and CAD software.
  • Equipped with technical expertise. You understand heavy equipment, crane operations, and mechanical systems; is aware of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices
  • Able to operate a forklift, if required.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Information

You will be stationed mainly in Tienen. But travelling to the office in Brucargo is expected.
