As Head of Controlling, you are the central link in the financial management of a leading organization. You maintain a helicopter view across all business units and ensure consistent, reliable, and strategic financial reporting. You guide and coach a team of 6 Controllers, monitor processes, and act as a critical sparring partner for management. With your expertise, you contribute to identifying risks and seizing opportunities.
As Head of Controlling, you are responsible for:
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Leading and coaching a team of 6 Controllers, following up on controlling meetings, and fostering collaboration.
- Financial Reporting: Ensuring monthly closing and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Process Monitoring: Standardizing and safeguarding financial processes.
- Project Reviews: Analyzing KPIs, signaling early warnings, and participating in project discussions.
- Budget Management: Preparing, drafting, and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
- Cash Management: Actively monitoring cash flow, outstanding payments, and liquidity.
- Sales Reporting: Tracking sales reporting and financial KPIs.
- Strategic Analysis: Performing scenario analyses and long-term forecasts.
- Digitalization: Contributing to optimization projects (e.g., SAP, Power BI).
Profil
- Education: Master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in controlling and financial reporting.
- Initial experience in team leadership is a plus.
- Mindset: Critical, process-oriented, risk- and opportunity-focused.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel; experience with SAP and Power BI.
- Bilingual FR/NL (spoken and written) and strong command of English.
- Proactive, flexible, and highly communicative.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly within Belgium.
